Enrollment Process

1. Enrollment / Issuance of Certificate of Enrollment:
Enroll in our school by paying for the first two-hour appointment. We charge $72.50 per hour, a total of $145.00 per lesson. Payments can be made by check or cash. We do not take credit or debit cards.

Student information needed:

  • Legal first, middle and last name
  • Home address
  • Contact numbers
    • Home phone
    • Student’s cell phone (this is helpful when we are picking up a student from school or somewhere else other than home)
  • Date of birth (this is required on the certificate of enrollment)
  • Name of driver’s education school and school number if available (usually a letter with four digits, or just four digits)

2. Scheduling First Lesson
After the student has been issued a permit, please call us to schedule his or her first lesson.

  • We will need the permit number, issue date, expiration date and in what city the permit was issued.
  • The location will determine which instructor will be assigned, unless you have requested a specific instructor.

At the time of the first lesson, the instructor will sign the permit, validating it.

The student may then begin practicing with a parent or an adult 25 years or older with a valid driver’s license.

Black Car3. Second Lesson
You must pay for this lesson at the time of the lesson. Please make payment to A.B.C. Driving School. Again, the cost will be $145.00 for one two-hour lesson.

This lesson can be scheduled at any time. Depending on the student’s needs, it is usually scheduled two to three months after the first appointment. Sooner appointments are always available depending on your needs.

4. Third Lesson
You must pay for this lesson at the time of the lesson. Please make payment to A.B.C. Driving School. Again, the cost will be $145.00 for one two-hour lesson.

The DMV allows you to schedule the DMV road test 30 days in advance of the completion of the sixth month of their permit. We try to schedule the student’s last lesson within a week of their road test. The instructor will review all needed skills, so that the student will know exactly what to expect. They will also work with the student on any areas that require attention.

5. Issuance of the Certificate of Completion
The instructor will issue the certificate of completion after all six hours of instruction are completed and all lessons have been paid in full.
