Student Agreement

Your driving lessons will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to be a safe driver and obtain your California driver’s license. It’s natural to be nervous the first time you get behind the wheel.
Be aware that should an emergency situation occur, your instructor can and will take over the steering wheel and / or brakes.
For the best results, the skills you learn during your lessons must be applied while driving on your own time.
Feel free to ask questions – no matter how trivial they may seem. Your instructor is trained to supply the answer.
With instructor approval, you may use your own vehicle for the last lesson. If the school car is not used, the student / parent / guardian assumes full financial responsibility covering any car, and for any action(s) made by the student while taking the lesson.
Manual transmission lessons are available. However, the student must provide his or her own car.
Students can arrange to be taken on a San Francisco driving experience if prior arrangements are made, as additional time may be needed.
Payment will be expected at the time of each two-hour lesson – checks should be made payable to A.B.C. Driving School and given to instructor. If the balance is not paid in full by the end of the final lesson, a certificate of completion will not be issued until balance is cleared.

Very Important!
Students who do not keep a scheduled appointment will be charged! You will be charged for the two-hour lesson at the current rate ($72.50 per hour). To avoid charges you must cancel no less than 24 hours in advance – you may leave a message on our 24-hour answering machine at 415-444-0571. Monday and weekend appointments must be cancelled by the prior Friday, by 5 p.m. Please note that instructors do not get paid when they show up for a two-hour lesson and the student is a no-show. Please be certain of the date and time when booking an appointment. (Remember, this is their livelihood!)
